Welcome to Smitchells, an idyllic getaway in Charente Maritime, South-West of France. Tucked away in the French countryside, but a hop, step and jump to several cities and Beaux Villages, our Gîtes are the perfectly situated to experience the area .

Just had 2 weeks with family in the Libellule Gîte. It truly is a home away from home. Anne and Graeme are excellent owners and have thought about everything you could need. The kids loved the pool and the play area. It’s so lovely and peaceful yet only minutes away from all amenities. There’s so much to see and do in the area, you cannot get bored. Thank you so much.
